Early Life

Mayuri Deshmukh was born on 3 September 1992 in Dhule, Maharashtra, into a middle-class Hindu family. She is the daughter of Prabhakar Deshmukh and Hema More Deshmukh and has two brothers, Anup Deshmukh and Kunal Deshmukh.

Due to her father’s government job, Mayuri spent her childhood in different cities across India, including Pune, Nanded, Mumbai, and Visakhapatnam. This exposure to different cultures and environments played an important role in shaping her personality and outlook.

She completed her schooling from Rishi Vidyalaya Gurukulam in Visakhapatnam along with studies in various schools across the country. Despite her passion for acting and performing arts, she pursued academics seriously and completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College and Hospital, Navi Mumbai.

Although she was academically accomplished in the medical field, her interest in acting eventually led her toward the entertainment industry.

Career

Mayuri Deshmukh began her professional acting career with the Marathi film “Dr. Prakash Baba Amte – The Real Hero” in 2014. The film, based on the life of social activist Dr. Prakash Baba Amte, introduced her to Marathi cinema and helped her gain initial recognition.

She later expanded her artistic journey into theatre and appeared in stage productions such as “Pleasant Surprise”, where she further developed her acting skills and stage confidence.

Breakthrough with Khulta Kali Khulena

Mayuri achieved widespread popularity through Zee Marathi’s television show “Khulta Kali Khulena” (2016–2017), where she played the lead role of Manasi Deshpande. Her performance in the romantic family drama was highly appreciated by audiences and made her a household name in Maharashtra.
