Shivram Pant Damale Prashala Secondary School, and later completed her Graduation & Master’s Degree in Performing Arts from Lalit Kala Kendra – which is the Centre for Performing Arts: Savitribai Phule Pune University, which is located at Savitribai Fule Road, Ganeshkhind, Pune – 411007, Maharashtra, India.
She is also professionally trained in Bharatnatyam, and has finished her Arangetram and Visharad. She started learning dancing when she was just 8 years old. She had also received the prestigious scholarship from the Ministry of Culture – Government of India, for her higher education in Bharatnatyam.

Films
Prajakta made her debut in the Hindi Film Industry with the year 2007 film ‘Gandhi, My Father’. In this movie, she played an important role of Gulab Gandhi’s friend along side veteran actress Bhoomika Chawla. The film is based on the biography of Harilal Gandhi, titled Harilal Gandhi: A Life by Chandulal Bhagubhai Dalal. Here in the movie, her performance in the film was highly appreciated by critics and fans as well.
This Indian biographical drama film was written and directed by Feroz Abbas Khan & produced by Anil Kapoor. The film explored the troubled relationship between Mahatma Gandhi and his son Harilal Gandhi and the characters who portrayed the biopic were Darshan Jariwala as Mahatma Gandhi; Akshaye Khanna as Harilal Gandhi; and Bhumika Chawla as Gulab Gandhi in the lead role.
They were supported by some power pact performance by Shefali Shah as Kasturba Gandhi; Vinay Jain as Kanti Gandhi; and Mona Ambegaonkar in the role of a Prostitute. The music of the movie was composed by Piyush Kanojia and the film was released on August 3rd, 2007.
She made her Marathi Film Industry debut with the film Kho-Kho. In the film, Prajakta played the character named Suman along with some prominent names in the Marathi Film Industry like Bharat Jadhav, Siddharth Jadhav, Uday Tikekar & Resham Tipnis. The film was directed by Kedar Shinde & produced by Shobhna Desai & Giridhar Patil. Kho-Kho was released on May 31, 2013.

Later in the year 2014, she was seen in the yet another Marathi movie named Sangharsh. Here, she played the character of Bijli along side Rajesh Shringarpure, Sangeeta Kapure & Nakul Ghanekar. The movie was directed by Saisparsh & produced by Vidnyan Siddhi Films Ltd. The movie revolved around the lives of the residents of Gunaji Chawl and how they get caught in the politician-underworld nexus. It was released on February 7th, 2014.
In the year 2017, she was seen as Girija, a fun-loving girl, and Isha’s friend in the movie Hampi directed by Prakash Kunte & produced by Yogesh Bhalerao. In the movie she was casted along with Lalit Prabhakar, Sonalee Kulkarni & Priyadarshan Jadhav. The movie did a Box office collection of approx. 13 crores and was released on November 17th, 2017.
She was also seen in a special appearance in the film named Ani… Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar in the song “Gomu Sangtina”. The film had Subodh Bhave, Vaidehi Parashurami, Sonali Kulkarni, Sumeet Raghavan, Mohan Joshi, Prasad Oak all in the lead role and in a power pact performances. Prajakta was also a part of Indian Marathi-language comedy drama film directed by Sachin Darekar named Party. In the movie, she played the character named Arpita along with Suvrat Joshi as Omkar; and Akshay Tanksale as Chakarya. The film was released on September 7th, 2018.
Dokyala Shot was her next movie, which was released in the year 2019. This film directed by Shivkumar Parthasarathy and produced by Uttung Hitendra Thakur. In the movie, Prajakta was seen as Subbulakshmi and was casted along side Suvrat Joshi as Abhijit; Omkar Govardhan as Chandu & Rohit Haldikar as Bhajji. The movie hit the theatres on March 1st, 2019.
She was also seen in a powerful performance as Karuna – Babasaheb Pathare’s daughter in the much awaited Marathi comedy film named Pandu. The movie also featured Bhau Kadam and Kushal Badrike in the lead role along with Sonalee Kulkarni. The film was directed by Viju Mane and was released on December 21st, 2021.
She will also be seen in her latest movie “Luck Down” along with Ankush Chaudhari. The movie is directed by Santosh Ramdas Manjrekar and the cast of the movie is Priya Arun Berde, Ankush Chaudhari, Shubha Khote & Prajakta Mali. The release date of the movie is February 25, 2022.
Off-late she was seen in a powerful performance in an Indian Marathi-language historical drama film named “Pawankhind”. The script of the film was written and directed by Digpal Lanjekar and the film was produced by Bhausaheb Arekar, Aniruddha Arekar, Ajay Arekar. The music of the film was composed by Devdutta Manisha Baji and the film was officially released on February 18th, 2022 under the AA Films banner. The was a hit and had a box-office collection of Rs. 70.75 crores.
