Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla continues its impressive run at the Indian box office even after completing three weeks in theatres. The horror-comedy entertainer has managed to maintain strong momentum due to positive audience response and the absence of major Hindi releases in cinemas.
After performing exceptionally well during its first two weeks, the film remained stable in week three and has now moved closer to the ₹170 crore mark. In the process, Bhooth Bangla has also surpassed the lifetime collection of Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par, making it one of the biggest Bollywood performers of the year.
Bhooth Bangla Box Office Collection Day 21
The film entered its third week on a steady note and continued attracting audiences across multiplexes and mass circuits.
Beats Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par
One of the biggest achievements for Bhooth Bangla is overtaking Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par, which was considered the actor’s only successful film in the post-pandemic era.
The spiritual successor to Taare Zameen Par had earned ₹166.58 crore net during its lifetime theatrical run. However, Akshay Kumar’s horror-comedy crossed that figure comfortably on its 21st day itself.
More Bollywood Records In Sight
The film is now eyeing several more Bollywood milestones. On Day 23, Bhooth Bangla is expected to surpass Salman Khan’s Race 3, which had earned ₹169 crore net in India.
Additionally, over the next few days, the film could also overtake Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2, which finished its box office run at ₹179.3 crore net.
Akshay Kumar’s Strong Comeback Continues
With Bhooth Bangla, Akshay Kumar appears to have finally regained strong box office momentum. The film’s mix of horror, comedy and entertainment has connected well with audiences, helping it emerge as one of the year’s biggest commercial successes.
Given the current trend and lack of competition, industry experts believe the film still has enough momentum to add several crores more before its theatrical run ends.
